Warburtons Gluten Free Crumpets - Review

I think their overall texture is pretty similar to non-gluten free crumpets, they have a nice crispy base with a fluffy middle that butter melts right through.
However, what they have in texture they lack in taste. To me, they don't really have the flavour I'm looking for in a crumpet, something tastes slightly wrong. I also found that they toasted really weirdly, instead of browning on the top they remained pale and the base just burnt - which made it really hard to tell when they were ready!
Overall, they're not unpleasant to eat and satisfy a crumpet-craving but Warburtons haven't quite nailed an authentic crumpet flavour.
